Q: Is premature ejaculation curable with drugs? What about surgery, or invasive procedures designed to slow down excitability... and super charge sexual stamina? Is there anything that has been proven to work for men of ALL ages, without risk, danger or doing anything that feels weird? In this article we are going to take a quick and easy look at the most conventionally accepted "cures" for PE, and we're also going to explore a bit why even using the word "cure" at all is a bit of a misnomer. (even though I'm guilty of doing it right now!) Curious to know more? Continue reading as we take a closer look below!
Filed Under: The PE "Cure" Controversy
In recent years, using the word cure to help men overcome the social and sexual stigma of premature ejaculation has grown increasingly less common in REAL mens health circles. Why? Because the word suggests that PE is a disease... rather than a dysfunction. (or, state of LESS than optimal sexual functioning, which is the real proper way of describing what it is)
Said differently, most sexual experts believe that TRUE sexual health is defined by being able to enjoy sex for as long as you want, when you want, and without fear, phobias or your body hijacking your ability to perform as you wish.
Filed Under: The KEY to overcoming PE is almost ALWAYS easy to understand
There are only a very small percentage of cases where "true" medical intervention is required for stamina related issues. In the vast majority of cases, stamina can be improved by one of the following 4 factors:
Strengthening of the PC muscle located in the pelvis (Most commonly practiced by stopping the flow or urine when the urge to empty the bladder is strongest)
Breathing and Visualization Exercises to Slow Down Sexual Excitation
Practice! (the art and science of additional erotic experiences is thought to be the BEST way to train your body to last longer during sex)
Lastly, self help exercises designed to increase longevity through self gratification techniques (or said differently, you learn how to control yourself with a partner, by first controlling the urge to orgasm on your own)
These are pretty much thought to be the very BEST ways to increase sexual stamina, and most other methods are thought to fall substantially short.
What about using creams or lotions that promise to lead to longer sex?
The truth is, while these CAN help a little bit in the short run, they aren't a good idea for a number of reasons. These are numbing agents which dull down the sensation of sex, they often CAN'T be used with a condom (as they can interfere with the safety and durability of the condom) and they can also irritate and aggravate a woman's body as well. (causing HER to be numb, too... something your partner is NOT going to think is "very hot"!)
The bottom line?
PE is very treatable, and something that most of us will face at one point or another. It's not something to suffer with in silence... and you certainly DON'T have to suffer from it alone.
Your best bet, if you are struggling with performance issues now, is to know that there is NO shame in being easily excited by your partner.
It's something that many men struggle with, is NOT life and death, and with good communication, is something that won't affect the quality of your sexual relationships, especially if you implement the above BEFORE your partner finds out the hard way... no pun intended!
